Sindpuri is a Village in Pauni Taluka in Bhandara District of Maharashtra State, India. It belongs to Vidarbh region . It belongs to Nagpur Division . Indira Sagar Dam (Gosekhurd Dam)

Indirasagar Dam, also known as Gosikhurd Project, was established with an aim of offering irrigation facilities to the villages of Nagpur, Bhandara and Chandrapur districts.

The foundation of the dam was laid by Smt. Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India on 23rd October 1984. The site features 92 m high and 653 m long concrete gravity dam, which was formed after rehabilitating around 249 villages that were affected by the submergence of Gosikhurd.
Presently, the dam fulfils the irrigation and electricity needs of the destination and its adjoining areas.

Tiger Reserve Gate

Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, about 58 km from Nagpur and 60 km from Bhandara spreed over Pauni Tahsil of Bhandara district and Umred, Kuhi and Bhivapur Taluka of Nagpur district.This Sanctuary has also connection with Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve through forest along Wainganga river. The sanctuary is home to resident breeding tigers, herds of Gaur, wild dogs and also rare animals like flying squirrels pangolins and honey badger.

It is bounded roughly by the Wainganga river and the Gose Khurd Dam on the northeast, State Highway 9 and Bhiwapur Town on the south, Umred on the west and a narrow 10 km long range of 600-800 m hills to the northwest. It is located 40 km north of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve and 50 km southwest of Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary & 60 km from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Pench Tiger Reserve is 80 km to the northwest.

The Pawan Raja Fort

Pauni is an ancient city, surrounded by a rampart and moat, the latter partly preserved. The remains of historical monuments are scattered all over the town. The city wall, atop the rampart, is partly preserved and dates to the seventeenth-eighteenth centuries.
The Pawan Raja Fort: It is a famous fort in roughly middle of the town built by King Pavan(the town 'Pavani' get its name from the king's name).It is one of the architectural wonders in Pauni.Though in present time,only the walls of fort are standing and no remains of fort is seen,but it is said that the most part of the town was once a territory of fort.On one side of the fort is a lake which is a visual wonder.While on the entrance of the fort is a big ancient gate which facilitate connections between two sides of the town.
